orkut-logo.gif Well we know that Google is the best search engine but it also owns and operates the best social networking site Orkut.com.

Social networking sites can be a very convinient way to keep in touch with friends and family and more importantly LOST friends as in Orkut you can practically find almost every other person you would have know.

Thats the beauty of orkut and with a very easy and convinient user interface the community element gains a lot. One can also start their own communities for other to join and interact and make friends with like minded people.

A very easy to use and a very handy social networking site.

gtalk.jpgVOIP is the new craze in and does manage to save a few hundred bucks for me on international calls every month. Most of my family members are travellers and to keep in touch with them can be expensive at times, especially calling them.

Skype was a hottie for me sometime back but after it got banned in Dubai, I had to look for altenatives. And so I found Google talk, a very simple looking messenger by google with a voip feature with extremely good clarity. I jut fell in love with this and now it has become more of a companion for me after my fiancee moved to Dubai for work.

Highly recommended.

StumbleUpon.com: My favorite social bookmarking site

su.jpgI am an internet addict and with million of pages being written everyday, it gets a little difficult to keep up with the good stuff.

And then I found StumleUpon.com

This is the easiest and the most interactive social bookmmarking site out there and my personal favorite.

To start using stumbleupon you would first need to signup with them and once you are a member you need to install their toolbar.

Sharing sites is just a toolbar button click and you can also access the best webpage on your favorite topics. As a stumbleupon user you can also maintain your own SU blog where you can blogs about your favorite pages or anything under the sun.

Using SU has become an addiction for me as I am a addict in the lookout for newer and cool webpages to feed on.
